Knowing what a problem is makes it much easier to solve. Knowing what you want makes it easier to be happy. Knowing what you need makes it easier to thrive.
If others don't understand your problem, they can't help you solve it. If others don't know what you want, they can't help you be happy. If others don't know what you need they can't help you thrive.
Ask for what you want. The worst that can happen is that someone says "no." Asking for what you don't want doesn't really help.
